We work with university students, workers, new immigrants, people on the DPB, people just coming out of prison - because this good news that Jesus was on about can transform people and communities for good wherever it is let loose.
good news steals in like a new day
The good news of Jesus is very transforming... but often it does its work slowly - at times almost unnoticeably. It reminds me of how a new day starts... the black of night very slowly gets lighter until one moment we look around and there is the full sun sitting in the sky. When exactly did the new day begin? It's hard to say... it all happened so slowly and I was busy doing other things. BUT it did happen! And like the arrival of a new day, God's transforming good news steals into our lives and the lives of the people we know, and it transforms us forever... that's what makes it so good.
